If you are using Debian or Ubuntu you can install from the standard
repositories (though this may not be the latest version of GC).  I
believe the latest version is available from the GetDeb repository.

Alternatively you can fairly easily build it yourself.  See
wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Building
