problem for getting on-line quote

I am using window 7 version of gnucash 2.4.13.  The cpan client window does not let me do cut and paste, so I can not capture what shows up on the screen.  The cpan window also only allow very limited storage.  Since there was a lot of vector undefined errors, they scroll over so fast and I cannot retrieve them

You mean short of getting a Mac or switching to Linux? Since you probably don't want to do either, and probably also don't want to reformat your hard disk and reinstall Windows, let's try to troubleshoot the problem a bit:

Again, what version of GnuCash?

Please paste in all of the output beginning with downloading the tar file.
