Duplicate Customer??? How to remove

I am really new to this program and I AM STUMBLING through it!!

I was entering customers into GNUCASH when I realized that I had probably
entered the customer more than once already!!

How do I delete the duplicates, and is there any feature that alerts you
that the customer ALREADY exist?
