2.6.3 from GetDeb crashing on Ubuntu 14.04

I tried the manual way by adding entries to repository manually along with :

wget -q -O- http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add
-

This worked although 2.6.3 now installed, hoooraay!!

I guess there must be an error in the getdeb installer code which fails to
pull in from that site?
