GnuCash 2.4.10 on Debian wheezy - holding x11 channels

I am running GnuCash on my laptop. When I want to use my desktop
machine to access it, I do so via ssh. If I do ssh hostcame gnucash, it
runs just fine, but is still holding 3 channels open after closing,
according to the ssh debug. This means I have to do Ctrl-C to get the
prompt back.

Is this a known/fixable issue with GnuCash?
