Balance a Sheet Report

I am unsure what report you DO want to run, but because you speak of a 
start and stop date for a "Balance Sheet" it is clear you don't know 
what a "Balance Sheet" is in accounting terms.

A "Balance Sheet" shows the balances of all "standing" (non-temporary) 
accounts AS OF some specific date (no "start" or "stop")

Maybe if you tried describing WHAT you want to do in words (without 
referring to the name of any report) we could help. As it is, we can 
only guess.
