For what it's worth, I saw the same errors on Windows when I set up our 
build system to build with guile 2. The GUILE_LOAD_COMPILED_PATH 
addition solved the issue there as well.

This was in my tests. The current gnucash on Windows release is still 
using guile 1.8.
