gnc-fq-update will not update your *quotes*, it will update the
*program*  package Finance::Quote.

To update your quotes run
 gnucash  --add-price-quotes=path/to/your/gnucash-data-file
from the shell or use
 Tools->Price Editor->Get Quotes
in Gnucash.
