Hi Tim,
As already said, if you wait a while, the chances of Microsoft having already fixed most of the problems is much better. The laptop I tried to upgrade was pretty likely to succeed, I thought.
It had plenty of space and not much software installed.
Since I tried last weekend, Microsoft have also issued these instructions, so I'll be trying again this weekend.
