location for compiled guile files

You should upgrade to gnucash 2.6.5 or later. These versions come with precompiled guile files, 
which are stored in /usr/lib/gnucash/...

The only files that will still be stored in ~/.cache would be guile compiled versions of custom 
guile code in your set up (like a custom report that you include yourself).
