Report on total yearly expense

Chris,
I think you can get what you need from the income/expense bar chart. Edit
the report options and set the following:
- Start and end date for the time period you're interested in (you
probably want to start on jan 1)
- Step size: Year
- On the [Display] tab, check the box for "Show table"
