Thanks for the explanations and reassurance. I'm glad to at least know
there is a reason that a temp file would be created.  The recovery process
I had planned was just what you suggest, we make every conscious effort to
be certain there is no cross editing and true backups are current.  Great
thoughts all thank you very much.
