Automatically reconcile interest charges

There is no such option that I can see, though I agree it would be
appropriate. You might want to request it at
http://gnucash.uservoice.com/forums/101223-feature-request . It shouldn't
be difficult at all to add this feature.

In the meantime you might want to use the account register instead of the
dialog box to enter interest charges. In the account register you can mark
the interest charge as cleared when you enter the transaction.
