I don't recall which link I used to get Mint but I see David Christopher
remembered the one he used. I think I used a torrent which I probably
found on the mint website.
Right after I installed Linux Mint 17.1 I added all available stable and
backport software sources (repos) to the software Center. Then release
2.6.5 appeared in the list.
I think it is actually on the GetDeb repo for Ubuntu 14.04.
Anyway I took three packages to get common files and documentation as well.
