When you’ve opened the General Ledger register, you’ll have a Tab entitled General Register - you should right-click on one of the transactions within the register itself, not on the title of the tab.

Once you’ve got the date-range that you require, use Reports=>Account Summary to produce a report, which can be customised through the “Options” button in the toolbar.

Once you’re happy with the result, you can use the “Export to PDF…” button.

You really need to play with the various options to get the information you want.
