Finance::Quote fails to install

Install GnuCash 2.6.5 on Windows 7 appears to be OK.

"Install Online Price Retrieval" command according to
http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Windows#Finance::Quote
failed for Bit::Vector. You need to install the following Perl module:
Finance::Quote. Installation of Strawberry Perl seemed to work OK.

Tried installation of Finance::Quote using Strawberry Perl command line
as in
http://gnucash.1415818.n4.nabble.com/Finance-Quote-never-works-td4669068.html
with a cd c:\program files (x86)\guncash\bin. Ran perl gnc-fq-check;
said need to install Finance::Quote. Ran perl MCPAN -e shell to obtain
cpan> prompt. In cpan> ran install Finance::Quote. Failed on absence of
cpan> Bit::Vector. Ran install Bit::Vector. Failed.

Uninstalled all GnuCash and Pearl that we could find. Reinstalled. Same
results for "Install Online Price Retrieval". Tried installation of
Finance::Quote again using Strawberry Pearl command line. This time
perl install failed for Date::Calc. No luck installing Date::Calc.
Error message suggested researching reports on
STBEY/Date-Calc-6.3.tar.gx.

I seem to be hitting a wall on installing Finance::Quote and am running
out of ideas.
