Budget reporting for a time interval

This appears to be just the ticket.  Somehow I didn’t notice the discussion the first time around.   Based on your description and the content of the blog post, it looks very much like what I’m trying to do.

When I tried installing it, gnucash failed to start.   Mac OS 10.6.8 GnuCash 2.6.7 [the most recent stable].   I’m hoping it’s something simple, as debugging scheme just isn’t happening - I don’t have the time to first attempt to learn scheme and then debug this.
