Find transaction

Hello good people,

Could someone give me a tip on how to use the 'find' feature please. It
works fine when searching description (payee) but seems not to for
transactions.

I use it from the main tree hierarchy to ensure all accounts are searched, I
first try a test search using a known amount and then select the 'number'
field from first menu. 

It returns nothing even if 'any criteria' is selected.

Any ideas where I am going wrong? - thanks
