Source for (historic) Deposits to Checking account with almost no information

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I was finally able to deduce - from other records - the source of the deposit in this case.

The bank statement - which seems to include less and less information as the years go buy only had “deposit” and the amount of the deposit. There is no obvious way (online) to see an image of the receipt or an image of checks deposited, etc.

The general trend (at least at my credit union) seems to be to move information from the monthly statement to the bank’s web site. For example, most of the time, and entry on the statement for a check now includes only the check number - if I forgot to enter a check into my (paper) checkbook register and want to see who the check was written to, I need to go online and find the image.

Luckily in this case, I the deposit was of checks that were re-imbursements from a health savings account, and I was able to match up the records that way.
