Get Online Quotes not updating currency rates since 2.6.9

Look at Price Editor’s listing again and check for prices in the reverse direction. 2.6.8 & 9 store currency exchange rates in the direction that the rate > 1 to reduce rounding. That causes problems in some places because the price lookup wasn’t right and fixing that turned out to be a significant change, so the feature has been removed for 2.6.10 and will reappear with re-written lookup functions in 2.8.0. 

Note, however, that 2.6.8 & 9 also store only one price per day, prefer retrieved prices over those generated by creating or editing transactions (for the pricedb only, the price in the transaction is derived from the amount and value as always) and so if you have a transaction and a F::Q run from the same day you’ll have only the F::Q price in the price db.

This all has considerable history in this list and in gnucash-devel which I’ll leave for you to dig up if you’re interested.
