For the sake of clarity was your query about:

a) Finance::Quote gathering historic data

OR

b) being able to import historic data using, say, CSV files you already 
have?

P.S. I'm happy to accept that I, as a first language english speaker, am 
at fault for misunderstanding and thank all people that don't have 
english as a first language for using it.
