Hi Andy,

Assuming lubuntu is like Ubuntu, you can see software installation history
for GnuCash by using the following command in a terminal window:

zcat -f /var/log/dpkg.log* | grep -i gnucash | egrep "\ install\ |\ upgrade\
"

I suggest copying and pasting this command as spaces are important.
If you get some sort of error from this command, try just

zcat -f /var/log/dpkg.log* | grep -i gnucash

Note: It seems Ubuntu only keeps history for 1 year though.
