this is kinda OT-ish, but I wanted to mention that there have been NUMEROUS articles
on various web sites about the HUGE privacy issues with windows 10. I suggest you
search for them and study them before upgrading, especially a child's computer.

Apparently it is possible to disable most of those "features", but you have to
know about it or you won't think of it when upgrading.

Worse, MS is also sending windows updates to win7 and win8 computers that
add much of that functionality to them. there are also articles to be found
that identify which updates they are, so you can remove them and block them
if  you don't want that functionality.
