GnuCash crashed, recovered showing a bunch of negative values

Hi all,

My gnucash crashed one fine day. Till that day all my accounts were
tallied.

But after the crash recovery, GnuCash started showing negative values in
placeholder accounts and I am unable to get to the root cause. Here’s a
screenshot that might help understand better:

Can someone please help me understand what could have gone wrong?
