I just created a bug report
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=761201 (but accidentally
commented on a different thread).
The suggestion I have considered is that maybe just having a "hidden" Note
on an ordinary two-split transaction could trigger the "--Split
Transaction--" message in the register. Alternatively a different message,
such as "--Noted Transaction--" might be more accurate, though possibly
more confusing.
