Hi James,

I'm on Ubuntu 16.04 and I suggest you upgrade to that if you're not already
on 16.04.
I also suggest using the getdeb to install as it contains GnuCash 2.6.12.
If you already have GnuCash installed from the standard Ubuntu repositories
(Ubuntu Software Centre, not getdeb), then you should uninstall that before
installing the getdeb.
See http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Ubuntu
Use the getdeb package for Ubuntu 15.10 as it's not listed for 16.04 yet.

libfinance-quote-perl which may be why the packagers leave gnc-fq-update out
of the package as it should be updated by the Ubuntu software package
maintenance programs.

Hopefully the getdeb will be updated to GnuCash 2.6.13 soon - they usually
don't take too long.

I cannot remember if this has been mentioned but there was a recent change
to GnuCash in how it holds currency conversions. I cannot remember the
details exactly but instead of holding the conversion from say currency1 to
currency2, it may now be holding it as currency2 to currency1. Check under
Currencies in the Tools, Price Editor window.
