Docs on generating a General Ledger

Good morning everybody,

  I'm new to the accounting cycle and tried generating a general ledger
using the 'General Ledge' tool for the first time today.

  Only 2 transactions showed up, they are basic transactions, not an
account summary.  We have several months of records that are not showing up.

  Where can I find the documentation on how to set this up correctly in
GnuCash?
