accessing GC file on a network folder

This issue has come up before and not very long ago I seem to recall after
someone installed GnuCash on a new pc and was trying to run it for the
first time ?

How are you trying to open your GnuCash file - by starting GnuCash and then
doing a file open and navigating to where you have put your GnuCash data
files, or are you double clicking the GnuCash data file to open it ? If
you've only tried it one way can you try it the other so to speak :-)

And you did say it was the xxxxxx.gnucash file you were trying to open
didn't you ?

Have you restored any of your preferences from the old drive ?

Cheers Dave H.
