Usually putting the email address of the list (gnucash-user at gnucash.org) 
in your address book will persuade the spam filters to let list stuff 
through.  I'd try that first if I were you.

You might also find that gmail has a facility to say "stuff from this 
address isn't spam, whatever you might think".  If the above fails then 
look for that.
