GnuCash Not Happy With External File Renaming

Dean ... It sounds like you are using GnuCash on MacOS X as well. Would 
I be wrong in guessing that you would really rather be able to double 
click on a .gnucash file to open it without having to do the workaround 
with Empty.gnucash?

Geert ... Yes, once you close the "whine" dialog, you can use File -> 
Open.  You get presented with another dialog about continuing with or 
without saving.  The dialog does not clearly indicate that it is 
referring to the empty gnucash file that GnuCash presented when it could 
not find the missing file.  The correct answer is to continue without 
saving to dispose of the empty file and then the desired file opens.
