multi-user system sought (non-cloud)

what I'd need? Actually functionality wise GC has it almost ... just
need more then 1 user being able to access the books at the same time.

I guess that calls for a server/client setup with a database in the
background rather then a all-in-one software.

the aforementioned ERP-Systems are too complex to implement at the
moment as you can not just use accounting without covering other parts
(warehousing i.e.) at the same time
