GnuCash Register Colors

My apologies for the delay.

Unfortunately, none of these themes include alternating register colors like
those in a paper check register, Quickbooks, etc. I see on the FAQ that
there's a workaround for this...

What are some programs I can use to open and edit the gtk resource file of
one of these themes?
