Having problem printing checks on HP

You say no luck when printing from GnuCash.  If you have a report open and
you click either File>Print Report... or Ctrl-P or click on the Print icon,
a printer selection box should appear that resembles the one you see from
your text editor program.  There should be page setup options and a preview
button.  Does that fail to appear?

You did not mention your OS.
There is a weird issue that some users have had in various versions of
Windows where printing fails, but I only saw it once myself several years
ago in Windows on another computer..  The solution is actually a
work-around which is documented in
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=701917#c40.  If I recall
correctly, you only saw a white screen when trying to generate any report.

if there are cloud printing or wireless printing features involved there
are those issues to explore as well.
