That's the scrub I just added for 2.6.16, https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash/commit/3367e191c8072fe4e49b06c1e99d43f7fde0304f <https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash/commit/3367e191c8072fe4e49b06c1e99d43f7fde0304f>. Scheduled transactions store a numeric value as a speed-up when a template formula contains no variables, but the numeric wasn't always getting updated when one edited the SX. The scrub evaluates the template formula and updates the numeric so that it matches.
