Reversing transaction not refreshing screen properly

I am completely new with GNUCash, testing out to see if meets my needs.
(Likely so.) The following may simply be my lack of knowledge.

When recording a "reversing transaction" under the Transactions tab, the
cursor must be on the main line of the transaction, not one of the split
lines. If done from the split lines, it makes the entry correctly, but the
balance is incorrect. The balance shows incorrectly until another
transaction is entered, or the application is restarted. Using the ctrl-R
(refresh) has no effect. Note that it does not affect any reports etc, they
show the correct balances. Appears to be a refresh error.

I have not reported as a bug, because I'm not sure that it is such. Any
other experiences?
