Followup to my problem:
installed openSUSE Leap 42.2 in Vbox instance and do not have the
problem with GNUcash crashing. This will require me to create a bug
report. BUT, I have found that the website ofxhome.com is down and has
been for several days. This prevents me from further testing at the
moment so I will need to wait for ofxhome.com to come back online.
The only thing I found very strange is that GNUcash failed at the same
point in both openSUSE tumbleweed and Windows 7, starting the online
banking wizard. I really don't care which OS I run GNcash under (prefer
linux solution) so long as I can eliminate my dependence on Quicken for
tracking my financial information. I still have time left before Quicken
changes to a software subscription model.
Thanks for all of the help.

Ken
