 Hi,
First of All - congratulations for making such a great product and helping users like me. We appreciate your help and hope that GNUCash becomes a 'The Best' accounting software.
Need Help! I understand that there's no direct way to import quick books to GNUCash and that's ok.
What I am trying to understand from an expert is what are the alternates to import data from quickbooks - I mean, can we export data from QB in excel and then what do we have to modify on excel so same excel can be used in GNUCash import.
My long story short, I need to upload all the QB data to GNUCash so I can forget QB forever. And I understand that there's no direct way and I need your help to understand indirect way of import.
I do understnad that I can export in excel and then using some tool, I can convert into QIF - and I think this job requires lot of work so it's better that I export qb data in excel and import in excel - guncash.
I think this is a bit difficult question so I am trying to ask you in a little bit different way.
1. Let's assume that I am using QB for my accounting having more than 10 years of data.2. Now how  many excel file do I need to upload the data into GNUCash3. What are the formats of all those file - meaning what fields do we need to bring in.
My plan is to convert all my data in EXCEL / CSV and then just upload the data into GNUCash.
Please help me out.
Thanks,
Vip
