Gnucash switched to a much more recent report rendering engine in 2.7.x/3.0. 
Compared to the 2.6.x series. It would be helpful if someone encountering this 
bad delay could install 2.7.3 and check whether this issue is still present 
there.

Be aware the 2.7.x series is unstable and can potentially corrupt your data, 
so please only use it after making a backup of your data file!
