Get the three *.deb files from this folder:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fV_fURy6c77e7gf6S41lTacM7dFyy7VD
Then issue these commands:
sudo apt remove gnucash-common python3-gnucash gnucash
sudo apt autoremove
cd ~/Downloads
sudo apt install ./*_3.4_*.deb
These were built on Ubuntu 18.04 and have been installed on 18.10 system
by other users.
--Steve
Note the leading "./" on the file name so that apt will find the files
in your current working directory.
