[GNC] Gnucash unexpectetly quits when selecting a report

I have opened gnucash and loaded account information and it looks like everything is working as expected. But when I select a report it hesitates for a moment and then quits. 

I’m running a Mac, version 10.15 with GnuCash version 3.7-1.

I’ve used Gnucash on my old lap top quite successfully and am stymied on this.
