I'm in the UK and it's usual to have interest calculated daily and applied in advance on the first of the month. Payment can be any date you choose.
The bank only sends an annual statement with a single figure for the total interest that year - not at all helpful in this case.
I guess I will need to find a suitable spreadsheet and adjust the scheduled transaction figures.
