[GNC] How to change default book/file to open in GC 2.6 under

Sounds to me like the prefs are not being set properly. 

 was that GConf on GC 2.6.x?

although slightly odd for my theory that the recently run list has managed to 
get the required file in entry 2 but not entry 1.
