[GNC] Backup Module

As Michael notes, there is more than just a data file. Preferences are stored separately as are saved report configurations, and any interface customizations. (such as if one uses a custom CSS file) And they aren’t just stored in separate files, they are also in different directories.

Better to just manage backups for your entire user profile or the entire machine than just a one-off copy of the data file. It would also add code that adds technical debt to maintain when there are already existing backup mechanisms outside of GnuCash.

Adrien

Backing up to the hardrive is currently automatic but saving to a disc or memory stick, for off site storage could be made simpler for the less technically inclined user.
