[GNC] Column Width Saving?

Jack,

I'm not seeing this issue on 4.2 on Win 10, Mac OS or Ubuntu 20.04...

What os are you running on, do you have write permissions on the
preferences file which I think from memory is <gnucash file
name>.gnucash.gcm.  If you go in and change column widths in Gnucash does
the file timestamp get updated when you QUIT Gnucash - not sure if it gets
updated when you just save the file - doesn't look like it seems like you
have to actually QUIT Gnucash to have these saved ?
