[GNC] Updates on Windows

Derek,

Thanks for the quick reply. Not being a Linux user (much), I immediately 
wonder whether the Linux removal and reinstallation process removes 
existing menu shortcuts that a user may have implemented, such as 
placing an icon on the OS menu bar. Do you know?
