[GNC] Linux still at 4.5

I am running Linux Manjaro and see that the aux distribution only gives version 4.5 of Gnucash. There is a flatpack version of 4.6, but if I install it, I do not have my saved reports and only the default preference.

Where are the preferences stored? I would like to make them match what I have when using the aux version? 

I am a newbie on Linux so need clear instructions.
