[GNC] Gnucash 4.8: doesn't read or store config

Brian,

Whatever your problem is, it cannot be the same as in that bug report as it
was the result of a subtle mistake made by the OP.

I am on a smartphone and I can't figure out how to reread your post, so I
can't make any further suggestions about your problem.
