[GNC] "Gnucash.exe has stopped working"

Greetings to you all!

I am facing a problem with closing and opening of the program. If I
try to close the "Cash" ledger, the program crashes and shows the
message "gnucash.exe has stopped working".

I found, once closed, that the LCK file is not deleted and
consequently I have to force the
re-opening.

Attempting to uninstall and reinstall the program did not succeed to
repair the fault.
