[GNC] New flatpak version 4.7+ crashes in my Ubuntu 20.04 - any help?

I have a problem on my Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS when version 4.7+ was installed in flatpak yesterday. The program starts, briefly show the welcome dialog and then crashes. It seems there is some system trap, see this /var/log/syslog excerpt:

Can anyone suggest a way to investigate the problem further? Tried updating. I'm reverting to GnuCash 4.6 in the meantime to use the program (as I do daily).
