[GNC] GNC Fails to load Data File

I have been using Flatpak for GNC when I discovered that a version is in
the Debian which I installed. and removed the flatpak files.  when I went
to open my data file either by double clicking the data files or Open from
GNC: No suitable backend was found for ... (See attached)
This is Version: 4.4
Build ID: 4.4+(2020-12-28)

The file did open in latest flatpak
